The Syrian Arab Republic, Syria, is a country in Western Asia, bordering Lebanon and the Mediterranean, Turkey, Iraq, Jordan and Israel. Damascus is the capital and it's probably the oldest inhabited city in the world. Syria has a interesting history, making this one of the main reasons to visit Syria. One other reason is the numerous amount of festivals.
