The Islamic Republic of Pakistan is a sovereign state in South Asia. It has a 1046 km coastline along the Arabian Sea and is bordered by Afghanistan, Iran, India and China. It's capital is Islamabad. Pakistan is attractive for tourists because of it's diversity in cultures, people and landscape. Pakistan has beaches, mountains, Islamic architecture (tomb of the Shah Rukn-i-Alam in Multan) and ruins of ancient civilisations (Mohenjo-daro, Harappa and Taxila).

The five biggest cities in Pakistan are: Karachi, Lahore, Faisalabad, Rawalpindi and Multan.

Modern structures are: the Faisal Mosque, the Minar-e-Pakistan and the Mazar-e-Quaid.
